This policy explains how we handle personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Czech law when you visit our website, buy from us, or take part in coaching.
What we collect and why

You don't have to give us your data, but without the details needed for checkout and booking we can't provide coaching.
Legal bases
- Contract: processing needed to sell and deliver what you bought, or to take steps you asked for before buying, such as an application or a custom offer (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Legal obligation: keeping payment and accounting records required by Czech tax law (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Legitimate interest: proving what was agreed and delivered, handling disputes and chargebacks, preventing fraud and enforcing bans, keeping the website secure, and creating educational content from sessions (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object to this at any time (see section 8).
- Consent: the custom package form, and analytics and marketing cookies on our website. You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn't affect anything done before (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Recordings & published content
Coaching sessions are recorded. Recordings are used to deliver your coaching, as proof that a session took place, and to create educational content. Clips or full sessions may be published on TikTok, YouTube and Patreon (including the Vault) and may show your gameplay, voice, Discord name and in-game name.
- You can object at any time by opening a ticket or emailing us. We'll stop using your recordings in new content.
- You can ask us to remove a published video. We'll review the request and remove it unless we have compelling reasons to keep it.
- Student results shown on our website, such as names, profile pictures and rank climbs, come from reviews students post in our Discord. Ask us anytime to remove yours.
Once content is published, it's also handled under the privacy policies of the platforms it appears on.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Stripe for payments, including payment methods such as Klarna and PayPal, which may also process your data under their own policies.
- Google for calendar bookings and sharing The Haine Method (Google Calendar, Google Docs).
- Discord for tickets, communication and coaching calls.
- Squarespace for hosting our website and for website analytics and marketing tools (only with your cookie consent).
- Formspree for receiving custom package requests.
- Patreon, TikTok and YouTube where content is published, and Patreon for Vault access.
We may also share data with authorities or advisers where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims, such as a payment dispute.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the EU, for example in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU, it's protected by an adequacy decision such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep it

Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

To use these rights, email haine@hainecoaching.com or open a ticket. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. Some data, like accounting records, must be kept by law even if you ask for deletion.
Website & cookies
Our website is hosted on Squarespace and uses three kinds of cookies and similar technologies:

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice. Analytics and marketing cookies only load after you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or by clearing cookies in your browser. Rejecting them doesn't affect your ability to use the site or buy coaching. Each cookie's lifetime varies, from the end of your visit up to the period set by Squarespace.
The website also loads fonts and images from external servers (Google Fonts and our image hosts), which receive your IP address when the page loads. Checkout opens on Stripe's secure payment page, which is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Under 18
Students under 18 may only buy with permission from a parent or legal guardian (see our Terms of Service). If you're under 15, a parent or guardian must agree to how we use your data, including session recordings and published content. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to exercise these rights on a child's behalf.
Security
We protect your data with access-controlled accounts, two-factor authentication where available, and by only sharing the data each provider needs. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by us.
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new tool or service. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll let you know.
